Portraiture
is the best way to capture your memories for the future. Our children,
our parents and even our grandparents change so quickly that sometimes
we don’t notice - and its happening right under our noses. There
is no better way to record the innocence of childhood, the wisdom of age
or the romance of your relationship than in a photograph. These photographs
will allow you to look back and recapture those magic moments. Moments,
which would have otherwise slipped away, unnoticed.
Gone are the days when having a portrait taken meant a formal atmosphere. At Hollywood Studios we believe portraiture should be fun and the images should be different. We invite parents to come in for a FREE consultation to help you design a look that suits your taste and decoration in your home. From the beaches to the country or our Studio, we Guarantee to create the look you want!
A grandmother said to me once "my portraits are a celebration of
my family". Today you have the opportunity to decorate your home

Here is some advice concerning colours, clothes and styles to help you get the best portraits.
Simple colours and patterns are usually best when choosing clothing for your portrait. Bright colours, bold patterns, stripes, polka dots and distinctive logos tend to draw the eye away from the people in the portrait. Instead, choose solid colours, subtle prints or classic clothing styles. Some general points of advice are: Darker colours are best to conceal areas of your body that you don't want to be prominent. If you wear glasses, bring with you a pair of non-reflective lenses. For men, long trousers photograph better than shorts. Dark shoes are also advisable.
Children can be so candid and portrait photography truly captures their innocence forever. It's important that they're comfortable and happy so bring with you their favourite toy or security item. Clothing suggestions for babies and/or toddlers are denim overalls, hats, caps and something classic or traditional. Babies up to 12 months old photograph beautifully in cloth nappies. Also, a portrait of a mother and her newborn child or a father and son can look magical in Black and White or Sepia.
When selecting clothing styles for your family portrait you must first decide whether it is to be semi-casual or formal. Try to co-ordinate your family's clothing with the colours of the room where the portrait will hang. Also, arrange your family's outfits so that they're similar in tonal range, i.e. light, medium or dark. By choosing complimentary solid colours and simple lines you will make the portrait more pleasing to the eye.

Our favourite Charity, The Bonnie Babes Foundation - Making a difference
Sadly, more than 50,000 babies die each year from miscarriage, stillbirth and pre maturity.
Bonnie Babes Foundation provides grief counselling to ease the suffering of this tragic loss and supports important medical research projects. Funding supports Prenatal Medicine for medical research projects and to counsel families who are grieving after the loss of a baby. We have 24 hour, 7 day per week grief counselling lines in Australia.
Money raised also contributes to purchasing new equipment, scholarships for young researchers, and special research projects involving pregnant women. Established in February 1994, the foundation is an non-profit international organisation which is the only one of its type in Australia and America. The Foundation is not government funded and is run by committee members and volunteers.
Our passionate team of volunteers, are dedicated to the aims of the Foundation. They provide group, individual and telephone grief counselling on behalf of the charity.
Little premature babies often struggle on life support systems. The equipment is expensive and technology can help these babies. The Foundation's aim is to fundraise to help these special little babies, many of whom sadly do not succeed in their fight to survive. It is heartbreaking to see a life ending before it has had a chance to live.
